Not super big heavy scenes, still learning C4d and doing art with it. Sidenote: I want to do modeling and rendering. Unfortunately in the country I am now everything is much more expensive than in Europe for example. What possebilities are also possible? I dont want to spend more than lets say 1200$. Or would it be better to buy the Ryzen + 980TI for example + another cheap card (100$?)? I found Ryis a good processor for the price but i think it hasn't any GPU on it right? SO should i buy better an Intel Processor? (For example Intel i5 8600k?)

So I researched already a bit and found the GTX 980ti for example is a OK-Start for GPU Rendering.īecause it is almost like a GTX 1070 right?Īlso I need a onboard gGPU for like the standart processes like monitor resolution etc. The Octane Materials Masterclass This Pro Series Course is designed to be the definitive materials resource for all octane artists. Also I want to use used parts for that because I dont see it to spend too much money in that case.

The thing is, I am currently traveling and in a different country so I just want to build a PC for 6 months or maybe more and sell it afterwards again. Team Render replaced Net Render in R15 and it’s fully integrated into Cinema 4D very easy to set up. While comparing the speed of different rendering engines is often times an apples to oranges comparison, one thing we can test is to see how well Octane Render is able to utilize different models and quantities of video cards.

Octane light set to texture mode with float texture at 1.0 and light level which exposes the mid grey correctly.Currently I am working on my Laptop with C4D and it's not fun anymore to render with Physical Render so I want to build my own PC. According to OTOY, Octane Render is the 'worlds first and fastest GPU-accelerated, unbiased, physically correct renderer'. Octane Render settings: buffer: HDR (Float 32-bit) Colour space: ACEScg If you hit that, you’re given four tabs again. 20/month no commitment make this a great render engine to try out and get into.

very large user base, and growing rapidly, so lots of tutorials. That drops an Octane Renderer entry into the list on the left. Octane The first GPU render, with super fast growing popularity. When you pop that window open, you can now pick Octane Renderer from the Renderer Settings. Octane Config: OCIO config 1.2 > ACES 2065-1 Octane also has a section in C4D’s Render settings (the clapboard icon with the gear on it). No colours reach 255 (I am guessing this is a role off and maybe ACEScg is not the best solution for this type of work). I put a grey in 128, 128, 128 which it seems to handle well, but as colour values move into the brighter and darker values they shift (not uniformly). Images show: Photoshop image (could be a brand logo with colours) > setup in Octane and output > import in DaVinci resolve (the import values are the same as the Octane live viewer so i guess we can kinda ignore that step for now). I would expect (my intention under neutral light colours and correct exposure, hence the 128, 128, 128 swatch) my final output render colour values to match my original image.
